it was a gift for my grandson and he absolutely loved it, he has several other trucks at home.I was a little wary ordering a toy that was over 20 years old. I read reviews of similar Hess items where the batteries had leaked or the toy appeared to have been used and re-boxed. I took a chance and ordered and am happy I did. Hess truck arrived in original packaging and appeared to have never been opened. I opened the box, took out the truck loaded with two race cars and found them to be in excellent condition.It is a gift it is a gift for Christmas for my grandson. So time will tell how he likes it.??It’s a nice truck,well-made . It is an older model and gently used.Description was accurate it arrived quickly and was well packed!Just love the truck and I know the child will love it too.This truck was the missing link in a 30 year series of gifts for my husband! Very excited his collection is still up to dateFine quality, but truck didn't have batteriesvery nicefirst, the price is right. i've got a surfeit of tot-size grandsons (each with an other-directed sister) so a part of their annual loot-haul has to pass the price test. it also has have wheels, be hard to break, made of enough investigateable parts for interludes of curiosity, and make a big noise (at least when it crashes into something). the hess collection fills these needs and is endlessly versatile for the questing shopper. and for the koffee-klatches of under-prepped students of social engineering, don't worry: they get over it. while they're going through this stage the need stuff. why five stars and not, say, four? i couldn't find a negative -- these toys even come in original packaging for those who make a collection of them.
