Best fit I've ever had. Matte finish is already wearing off. Glasses holes only keep very specific glasses in place, specifically ones with straight arms, and even then it's hit or miss. Giro offers zero guidance on this, only saying that most any will fit, which is BS. Otherwise I love it, and bought a spare pad set so I can use it for years to come. (Shame on Giro for not selling those directly, or supporting obsolete helmets.)Industry-wide gripe: why not use double D-ring chin straps like notorcycle helmets instead of the plastic crap? Perfect fit every time and virtually unbreakable. Just sayin'.You could spend a lot more and not have a better helmetI have been road biking for a couple of years now. My previous helmets were less expensive Giros. I researched scores of helmet brands and found it difficult to decide because there are so many good helmets. I was thinking about the much more expensive Giro Aether when I saw a review from a rider that had experienced both the Synthe and the Aether. He liked the Aether but said he said that nothing is really gained when moving from the Synthe to the Aether. In his Aether review, he recommended the Synthe.I was not very impressed with the looks and colors of many of the expensive helmets. Not even the Giro Aether had the color scheme I wanted. I almost purchased a black one. Then I found this helmet - saw the color scheme and made an immediate purchase. It arrived today. Out of the box, this helmet looks better than in the pictures. It is a work of art. The fit is amazing compared to the cheaper helmets. On my ride, I perceived a more aero feel than the old helmets. This helmet was a great find. Finally, the hunt for a decent helmet is over.Bought this same helmet (in black) for my wife at local bike store (a week earlier), but they didn't have my size (M) or the olive/hi-viz color that I liked. This was the most expensive helmet at the bike store, so we said let's try it on just to see what the best feels like before we choose a more value-oriented model. Well the difference was so staggering, compared to the other models available, we ended up buying this one (and a 2nd here on Amazon for me)! The helmet is feather-light and VERY comfortable. And best of all we found out later (since we purchased w/out ever riding w/it) that it has amazing air flow that keeps your head cool. We are casual riders (I have a Priority Continuum Onyx commuter bike) i.e. not long distance riders so at first thought this helmet was overkill, but decided why not be as comfortable as possible so we paid-up a bit (vs our orig budget) and have NO regrets!Love the helmet and it fits great. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that a $250 helmet should come with spare padding. The colors of the helmet are great too. This is a great helmet, I have the regular Synthe and bought this one because of the MIPS improvement. In the previous model I am almost at the higher limit for the size M, it leaves 3 or 4 clicks of adjustment in the roc loc. The Synthe model has a little bit snugger fit because of the MIPS layer(it leaves 1 or 2 clicks for the roc loc) but for me it feels more comfortable and with a better adjustment. Looks really cool when wearing it, compact size so you don't look like a mushroom, lightweight, well vented and considerably silent at high speeds. My only complain to Giro would be that so far there is no Roc Loc Air replacement for the Mips model.UPDATE: After 3 months owning this beauty, I had a bad crash, broke a couple of ribs and hit my head pretty hard. The helmet broke, but I had no harm in my head at all, this helmet probably saved my life. I'm one month off the saddle for now but I'm getting exactly the same helmet as replacement. I just hope to get a $180 deal as the one I got when I bought the first one instead of the full $269 price LOL. USE YOUR HELMET.Great helmet. Super comfortable and lightweight. And as far as bike helmets go, it looks really good on.My wife likes this helmet for its light weight, good look and color. However we took off one star due to the padding being very minimal around the head and none at the top. Lastly, we feel it's a bit over priced.Ordered this helmet based on the reviews on the internet. I purchased a medium supposedly in the 54-59 cm Med range but this thing was so small it wouldn't fit a 6 month old baby's head. Everything else seemed okay with the MIPS and tightening systems. But it didn't really stand out for overall looks. I sent it back and saved $350 dollars. Went to my local sports shop and picked up a competitors brand complete with MIPS and the same tightening system. It was $110 dollars or nearly a third of the price. And it looked far better than the Giro.Very comfortable and while it is a little bulkier than my old Bell helmet - feels more safe. I had originally ordered the M size but found it too tight so returned it no problem and re-ordered the L size which fits great. Was originally concerned that with the black colour and fewer vents that the helmet would wear hotter and so far after two dozen rides not noticing any increase in heat. Product is well made and the headband adjustment works well. Would definitely recommend this product despite being the most expensive helmet I ever purchased.Perfect
