We have 2 labs who love to fetch. However one of our pups didn’t like the tennis ball so we were looking for an alternate toy for fetching. We found it! Our dog loves this and is always willing to fetch. We use it on land and water. Likes it so much we bought a couple more -Now we have both green and orange. Our green toys did have the stitching begin to come loose after an aggressive all day session of fetching at the lake. It looked as if the stitching was not knitted tight enough at the ends. Because our dog loves this toy so much, I simply used some thread to reinforce the seams with a little glue on the ends. For us, this was an easy fix due to the fact that we liked the toy so much. The orange toy hasn’t had any issues with the stitching as the seams. Will definitely buy again!My malamute loves this pool toy the best! I only wish it had a longer rope on it so I could play tug-of-war with her. We have had this for a couple of months and she hasn't been able to destroy it yet, although she has tried! She is a champion chewer. She likes to fetch this one in the pool because it's easiest for her to get her mouth around. We have some toys that are more firm and she doesn't like the feel of them in her mouth. This one she loves.Purchased this to start training my lab along with another regular dummy decoy. This one is lighter but seems sturdier. If you’re not it were a bit heavier it would have been perfect. I may purchase the larger version of this to see if there is any difference.He loves this toy sooooo much. Bites on the rope part and hits his body left and right. Over and over again. Hard to get him to "give" so he can fetch it again in the pool. He would definitely want to rip it apart as he is an aggressive chewers but we keep it just for our summer fun!Sits perfectly on top of the water, even when thrownDog loves it!This toy is just for fetching, not for tug of war or chewingDog loves it. It is his new favorite toy but it started to come undone at seams after 2-3 uses. I’m disappointed that after so few uses I will need to repair this toy.I purchased this floating dog toy on a whim and took advantage of the buy 2, get 1 free deal. The product we received is green and blue, not red and blue. We have two boxers who love to play in the lake. One swims, the other patrols the shoreline. Both LOVE this toy! It’s well made and sturdy. It’s bright colors make it easy to find in the water or on the lawn. It floats very well and is easily retrieved by the dogs - by the the shaft of the toy or the rope. We’ve been using these toys for over a month now - in the water and on the lawn. Neither show any signs of wear and tear yet. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product and how much our dogs enjoy playing with it.If your dog loves to play fetch, they’ll love this toy!The last one held up for a couple of years of pool play, so I had to get a new one. Good quality.Ho my goodness how I WISH I had purchased this Chuckit before now , our dog Holly & us have lost So many balls has they have floated away down some river !! Holly is a trained gun dog and is good at fetching but when a river is bubbling away she does not always seem to spot it ! This chuckit it just Brilliant, it’s shape it great for her to quickly get her mouth around , the Chuckit floats beautifully , lovely & Bright so she spots it easily , with the cord at the end makes the Chuckit so much easier to Chuck ;-) then a slipper ball , I am a paraplegic and throwing from a wheelchair I can’t always get enough power behind the throw but with the Chuckit I can really send it flying through the air , I highly recommend this Chuckit.This toy is not for leaving alone with your dog but for throwing it and dogs to retreive from water.It is extremely lightweight and so can be thrown a long way if necessary. It also sits nice and high on the water, so that the dog can see it easily when swimming. It is easy to get carried away on a current so caution needed.Both my dogs enjoyed using this when we made trips to the river. Just a shame that my dog decided the entrance point to the river was a bit scary and I had to watch while it drifted off downstream. Great fun while we had it though, although a little expensive, especially when it is possible that it won't be retrieved!!!Really pleased with this purchase, I would not usually pay this much for a toy but this one is worth it. It floats, it's light, it's easy to throw and easy to see and the dog really loves it. It is NOT a "chew toy" it is a floating, retrieveable toy. I throw it, my dog rushes off into the water to fetch it, she know this is a game of fetch as she would do with her ball. As soon as the dog brings it back I ask her to drop it so I can throw it again. She quickly realises that's what's happening so there is no problem getting her to drop it. I would not leave it with her to let her chew it, that is not the point of it, and she would damage it. It will remain wet for a while, so I put it in a spare poo bag for the rest of the walk and then hang it to dry at home - it dries quicklyI didn't look at the reviews when i purchased this but from the 1 star reviews i have since read they all say the same thing . Its made to look like a solid toy with some hard wearing nylon material around it but it isn't . The top and bottom are glued/stitched to the material and underneath is a much lower quality piece of foam . The stitching came undone within a week and the ends fell off within 2 its designed for dog owners and not for dogs. Go with the Kong which I have had 2 of but they last much longer and are all one piece of foam with nothing hidden underneath ,
