The material is slightly less durable than what I would expect (I have the other starmark toys such as the orange bento ball and the green treat dispensing ball, and both these are very strong durable rubber). This is a toy for supervised play only, and not for tough chewers. Also there is only one opening and therefore if it gets wet it is hard to get all the water out. It does say dishwasher safe (top rack only) but I still would be concerned with it drying out properly. We use this ball almost every day; it has quickly worked its way to the top of our dog's meal dispensing puzzles. She's not very destructive so I can't say how it would hold up to dogs that love to chew but she pushes it across the kitchen all day. Some kibble falls out easily at first but some get trapped in the grooves making her work harder for the final kibbles.Great dispenser for my bordie collie’s kibble, and much quieter than the hard plastic so many others are made out of (this is more rubbery). Extends meal time to 7-10 minutes for one cup of kibble.Very pleased with purchase and happy to recommend. My dog loves this ball!!This product is excellent for helping keep a dog entertained as you do a nearby task. It is also good for a dog that feels anxiety about new people. In a multiple dog family only one dog can enjoy it at a time, especially if you have 130 lb large boy that thinks it is easier to destroy the ball to get the kibble instead of rolling it around. My one year old golden loves it and recognizes the name roly-poly when I ask her if she would like her ‘roly-poly’ as I do a job such as load the dishwasher near her. I only use her kibble. This is our dog's favorite ball/toy. She is very food motivated and will chase this thing to the end of the earth if there is still treats inside. We accidentally left it in a hotel when traveling, and I had to hurry and order another one to be delivered before we arrived home. Our dog is a year and a half english lab, about 65 pounds, and we haven't had any issues with her chewing or trying to destroy the plastic.I’ve purchased two of these because my 12 years old lab loves them! The second one was required because my friends Rottweiler really loved it too, however he decided to chew it apart instead of nudging it around to get the treats out. Great toy, BUT if you have a seriously destructive, large dog, who is a chewer, this is not for you! This is very durable. The pet loves getting his dried food while playing. My girl is ball mad. Usually I have found most balls that hold treats do not stand up to being thrown yet that is what she loves a ball she can run after and if it holds treats a bonus. Those i had found that did this were too big for her to fit in her mouth she could chase and bring back to me or to eat the treats. For her chasing the ball always comes before any eating food or treats. This is just perfect. Yes, some treats can fall out but not all and she is happy for it to be thrown, chase it and eat any fallen treats on her way back to me.It bounces well without being too bouncy for indoors and she can hold it in her mouth nicely yet not fully, so no chance of choking. She also likes to play tug with me with her balls and the hole that treats go in is a perfect place for me to hook my finger in so can give her a good game.A definately a winner and one that will be replaced if and when it's needed. She is a JRT if that helps you decide if it is right size for your dog.The ball is soft, fine for lighter chewers I imagine (purchased for an elderly dog), the indentations are good for filling with soft treats like peanut butter.Unfortunately the Treat Ball fails because there is a large inner lip leftover from manufacture which means that any treats inside the ball fall behind the lip and will not exit. I had to carefully pull the lip out of the hole in the ball to empty the balls contents because no amount of shaking by my dog or I could get the goodies out.Excellent dog treat ball which is squishable not rigid and not too difficult to get the treats out of. My girl loves it and the treats she finds inside ;-)It has a lip inside the hole so I had to shake out the last two treats for her. It also has a small hole to drain water out of after cleaning. Easy to use and can be used as a ball to play with too, a lovely amusement for a dog.I bought this product after reading the reviews. However I was extremely disappointed when my dog had this toy for 5 minutes and was playing with the ball chewing it. The plastic started to come off in large pieces. Definitely will not be buying this againBought this for my 5yr old rescue who is diabetic and struggles with separation anxiety. We were trying to think of a way to keep her busy and entertained whilst we were out so bought this for her and it’s exactly what we wanted. We put a handful of her kibble out of her breakfast in there in the morning and it keeps her distracted for ages! She usually tears toys apart within minutes but she hasn’t managed to get this one apart yet! Very pleased!
